There have been many updates made the online schedules for all the teams over the course of the holiday weekend.
Tournaments, league games, exhibition games, Off Ice training and more have all been added to teams specific schedules. There have been many updates and changes even over the weekend so please make sure you check the schedule for the most up to date information.
There is still scheduling to be done. All SYTHL games need to be updated with more specifics on game times and locations. The Jr. Predators will be meeting with both A-Game and Centennial arenas this week to work on the solidification of game times.
All High Performance Weekends and other weekend ice times will be added to the schedule in the coming weeks. Once game times from all league games are confirmed the program will be able to insert HPW's.
A few teams are still working on completing their game schedules, the Bantam Major team will be adding multiple independant games to their schedule after the surprising news that there will only be two teams in the Ban AA division of the SYTHL.
There have been a variety of modifications to practices and regularly scheduled practice times. All Elite teams will skate for 60 minutes on Mondays at A-Game and 70 Minutes on Thursdays at Centenniel. The 10 minutes that has been shortened on Mondays will not affect the total practice time for the Elite teams as they will gain an additional 60 minute skate for each 6 practices at A-Game.
The program made a variety of efforts to ensure that our teams are off the ice at the earliest possible hour. The desired goal is to have all teams off the ice by 9:30PM. Only the U16 AA Elites will be on after 9:30PM, they will end practice at 9:45PM on Monday evenings. (The 9:55PM showing online includes the 10 minute ice make from 9:45 to 9:55PM)
We hope everyone had an enjoyable Labor Day Weekend and share our excitment in getting the hockey season underway and into full swing.
If there are any questions please reach out to you team managers. If team managers are unable to answer questions please have them reach out to Hockey Director Jamie Herrington for the answers.
